MELBOURNE. Here's a recent shoot I did at St Kilda Beach with the lovely Amy, arts wonder Kristin & style guru - Chantelle. The weather was perfect (sunny humid!), with a perfect team! Every collaboration helps me grow. Good pictures' design begins with creativity, concept after concept and from trusting your intuition. I have always dream of a collaboration that would finally be total, in which the librettist would often think as a composer and the composer as a librettist. And I think I nailed it here alright ..

I love to find a great vintage secondhand shop so I incorporate the idea in this shoot. Chantelle pulled the vintage stunt and I love her more dearly! It is easily overlooked that what is now called vintage was once brand new.  In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage. So, thank you ladies! :)

BEHIND THE SCENE. a glimpse to what i did in Shanghai. today we're dealing with metropolitan Shanghai, metropolitan New Delhi or Paris. if they're competing at that level, their diversity, that richness of people coming from so many different backgrounds, will be one of their greatest advantages.

O' SASHA | SNEAK PEAK

COLORS. dragging Sasha and Jason in a mission to perfection on the first day of a Chinese New Year holiday is probably the best decision i did after i swear i did my homework that both will not be physically and mentally affected once the session ends :) i previously had models escorted by friends/boyfriends during a shoot but this could be the first when she arrived with her parents which (honestly) leave me feeling adjective in the first place.spontaneity is the quality of being able to do something just because you feel like it at the moment, of trusting your instincts, of taking yourself by surprise and snatching from the clutches of your well-organized routine a bit of unscheduled pleasure.and both her parents proved this well when her mom excitingly blend in with us by snapping too, a few shots along the way and Roger, enjoying his book under the smiling sun, undisturbed. she wore an eye-catcher necklace that kicks me in my brain she had had from Bangkok a while ago. amazing. aaaaah, you're such a lucky girl! inspired by the infamous like a virgin kind by Madonna, i think we nailed it just right in colors.

STILL STUNNED. although 2010 has waved goodbye, its presence still lingered in mine. there was something about the fact that it was such a good year for me and i just don’t want it to end so bad. January marks the first of 2011. and its all about the first-time in this shoot. my first ever studio shoot, a first-time with Esther on makeup. she has the most adorable beauty studio I have ever seen with her puppy, Prada - running around obediently. and having Tiks George, the aspiring sweet 17 model who ready to conquer the world – reminds me of my fun freshie time in the fashion world once upon a time. a special thanks to Olumis Borneo Batik House for allowing us to feature their latest collection in this shoot. i will be posting a separate coverage on Olumis in the next post. my first-time meeting the owner, Madam Justina - is so exquisite that we indulged into the same journey of passion.  she made me realize that this is why we’re to pursue a dream, living it aloud so it sparks the greatest stars of all. this feeling - its like seeing fireflies for the first time is like being magically transported into your childhood days, into a world of fairies and dreams and of everything that’s beautiful – this is how i felt about photography.

never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. we are all the same in this notion: the potential for greatness lives within each of us. you see things; and you say, 'why?' but i dream things that never were; and i say, 'why not? life isn't about finding yourself. life is about creating yourself. go ahead and fulfill your dream Kimmy. you will be someone someday. but you know, i really like the idea of you choosing over school first, my usual best hugs.

current favorite muse, Kohinoor K. quirky talent on the look out (i meant it babe!) trying out the collection to continues the reputation for mixes of bright colors with the retro feeling. it has big, big dots of reminiscent of the 50s', i reckon is really fun!
